WHO IS MY ADVENTURE PROJECT?
Back in 2018, our founder Seb made the decision to ditch the norms and travel the world as a backpacker. One of his first stops was sunny Australia, where Seb spent two years living and working in Byron Bay as a travel agent.
Seb returned to the UK in 2020, having experienced the excitement and nerves of travelling first hand and equipped with a new wealth of knowledge about Australia. His passion to help travellers plan their dream trips to Australia led him to set up My Adventure Project – which officially launched in 2022.
Two years later, we’ve expanded the team, sent over 5000 travellers on their dream trip to Australia, grown the online MAP community to over 120,000 and even launched a new travel destination – Bali (with more exciting destinations launching this year!).
Our entire team is made up of genuine travel lovers who have all experienced (and fallen in love with) backpacking. We’re here to make everything easy and help you plan the perfect trip – getting you as excited about travel as we are in the process.
SO WHY MAP?
We pride ourselves being a travel agency that gives you the true freedom to travel like you.
Group travel is a fantastic way to meet and connect with others from all around the world. However, traditional organised tours can sometimes be associated with strict itineraries, lack of freedom and missing out on that solo travel independence.
At MAP, we do things differently.
We believe that you should be able to benefit from travelling with others whilst still having the opportunity to shape your own trip. That’s why we offer unique semi-guided tours that truly give you the best of both worlds. Our group tours are self led with guided activities, meaning you get the company of others but without the school trip feel that tends to come along with a full time tour guide. Plus, you still get 24/7 support and guidance from our travel experts!
If you want to travel but you aren’t sure group trips are right for you then we also offer totally personalised solo trips. Our travel experts remove the stress by planning and booking everything – but every single part of the trip is still up to you. You can tailor it to be exactly how you imagined, and still receive our support and expertise.
