We recommend a travel budget of approx $55-$75 NZD (£25-£35) per day for meals when not included in the itinerary.

Disclaimer – itinerary is subject to change in accordance with Government travel restrictions. A reconfirmed itinerary will be issued prior to your tour payment.

We welcome travellers from all over the world – our packages are open to everyone regardless of gender or nationality. However, you must be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of travel to book!

Absolutely! In fact, most of our travellers join us solo. The beauty of our group tours is that whilst you may arrive on your own, you’ll leave having been on a trip with a group of lifelong friends.

Our groups are capped at 16 people. In our experience that’s the perfect number – big enough that you will definitely find your people, but small enough to not always be waiting on others!

Anytime of the year is amazing to visit, and brings with it its own wonders! New Zealand’s climate is generally mild and temperate, though it can vary depending on the region and time of year. Summers are warm, winters are cooler, especially in the South Island, and spring and autumn offer a mix of crisp mornings and pleasant afternoons.

In summer, you’ll enjoy warm days and long evenings, while winter offers stunning snow-capped mountains and quieter roads. We highly recommend packing for the season you’re traveling in, but keep in mind the weather can still change – so it’s best to be prepared for all conditions!

You absolutely will! You’ll all be booked together into the same hostels, tours, and transport, so there’s no need to worry about being split up!

It’s super easy! A couple of weeks before the start of your trip, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group chat with everyone from your group. It’s a great way to introduce yourself and get to know your soon-to-be besties. Once you arrive, everyone will be staying in the same accommodation, making it easy to meet up right away!

We can certainly help and offer advice on them! Once booked in, you will receive a confirmation email with our FAQs document attached, containing handy guides on how and when to sort all of these annoying admin bits before your trip with us!

There really isn’t that much not included as we have pretty much got you covered! Flights aren’t included with us, neither is airport transfers, along with most meals. Otherwise, everything you see in the Tour Inclusions tab (all included tours, accommodation, transport, & meals) are sorted for you!

Of course! You can see all the extra tours and accommodation you are able to add on by clicking on the Extras tab above. We do recommend adding anything on sooner rather than later, as things can get booked up!

Of course! These can get booked up, so we would recommend letting us know what you would like to add sooner rather than later. However, booking onto your preferred date and then sorting the extras later is absolutely fine!

Absolutely! You can add on any additional nights accommodation with us when securing your spot on the trip, or you can let us know once you have flights and future plans confirmed.

A semi-guided group tour helps keep the freedom and flexibility of backpacking, whilst combining it with the stress-free, friendly nature of group travel – giving you the best of both worlds! This means you won’t have a group leader with you 24/7, constantly directing your every move, but instead, a group leader will be with you for the included tours, offering expert guidance on the area, while still giving you the freedom to explore and enjoy your own time in between.

We believe this is the best way to do group travel, as not everyone wants to do the same things at all times! It allows for the independence that comes with solo travel as well as the ability to tailor your itinerary to fully maximise your own experience. It means you can include everything YOU want to do, without making any compromises.

Everyone will be booked on to the same tours, accommodation and transport options that are listed within the tour package, however, you are more than welcome to speak to us about changing/adding on any other options!

We’re almost certain this won’t happen, as you’ll be having an amazing time exploring New Zealand, and sharing incredible experiences with your soon-to-be friends! However, one of the best things about MAP is that it is a semi-guided group tour. This means you don’t have to stick with your group the entire time – you can meet others in your free time at the hostels, or just explore on your own. There’s no pressure to do everything together the entire time, or to all have to agree on doing the same activities!

Absolutely, we highly encourage it! We want everyone to have an amazing time in New Zealand without any worries before they leave. That’s why we help connect everyone through a WhatsApp group chat just before the start of the trip. If you are keen to start chatting before this is made, you can join our Facebook group once your spot is confirmed! Here you can meet others who have already booked your travel dates, or ask any questions to previous MAP travellers!

We are here to support you every step of the way, so there’s many ways to get in contact with us when you are out there or before your trip! Firstly, you can always get in touch via email or WhatsApp, and we will aim to get back to you as soon as possible, as our team is available on WhatsApp 24/7! Secondly, although you won’t have a leader with you for the entire trip (to allow that free time), there are people in New Zealand who can help. Not only will you have leaders for your tours and activities, but your private driver is a local expert and can always answer any questions that you may have!

Of course! There is no reason as to why you can’t make more friends!

Dorm rooms come as standard in our package for the most affordable and sociable experience, however, this is not the only option! Private room upgrades can also be added for those who would prefer that!

We will always try to get everyone from your group in the same room as each other wherever possible, although not guaranteed. If you would like to be in rooms with the same gender, then please get in touch with us once booked in, and we will see what we can do!

After your spot is secured, you will receive an email confirming your booking, along with a lot of other useful documents to help get you ready for your trip with us! Once the full amount is paid and we get closer to your start date, you will receive helpful information on how to get your visa, what to expect when you arrive, and your detailed itinerary! You will also have the opportunity to book in a 1-1 call with one of the team members, who will be able to take you through your whole trip and help answer any questions you may have!

Yes absolutely! Your trip with us is 100% financially protected in accordance with the current Package Travel Regulations of the UK. For more information about this please visit our Terms & Conditions.

Most included meals are not set to just one option, and often include a nice variety of dishes that cater to most! However, if you do have any dietary requirements, please make sure you have noted them down on your booking, so we make sure we can cater perfectly for you!

Our New Zealand Adventure package offers 23 nights of accommodation, consisting 4-10 bed dorm rooms in popular backpacker

hostels! Upgrades can also be added on.

Travel from Auckland all the way to Christchurch is run by exclusive, temperature-controlled mini-buses, with your own private driver. Travel between the North and South island is via ferry on your mini-bus. On longer journeys, the bus will stop frequently for toilet stops and snack breaks.

As your New Zealand Adventure Tour is semi-guided, that means you have flexibility in the way you would like your tour to run and what kinds of activities you would like to do. Listed below are all the activities you are able to add on to your trip when booking, to make sure your itinerary is perfect, and that your time is the absolute best it can be!

Hobbiton Day Tour

Zorbing

Glacier Heli Hike

Funyakking

Bungy Jump

Canyon Swing
